| Bio: | Me. Text book. I've heard it too many times to not believe its true...even if I hadn't read the text book myself to confirm that I am, indeed, a text book example of my circumstances. How unoriginal. How pedestrian. How passe'. How...sad. I grew up just like all those other sad sons of bitches who grew up just like me...beaten and broken down by a misogynist father, left in the cold as a child of divorce, and spending the rest of my natural life desperately searching for someone to believe that I am important enough to actually love. Sad. Yes. And somehow, I am still unapologetic for my outrageous, self-destructive, self-agrandizing behaviors born of acerbic dysfunction and urgent self-preservation. I see so many women who insist that they are something else, something other than who and what they are, and I want to shake them. This is me, like it or not. This is me, replete with all of the faults and all of the beauty that mashes up into the skin and bones of the person standing or sitting or screaming before you. I have been a liar, a whore, an addict and a bitch. I have been a mother, a lover, a friend, a daughter and a woman. But in all of those things, I have never been a fraud. I may have been broken, but I'm the genuine article. No doubt. No apologies. | |||||
